Where have you gotten your training in Reflexology?
Was it a 2 week blurb in massage school, a weekend seminar, an actual school dedicated to reflexology, did you train under a reflexologist, or ????
How well do you think you were trained in whichever aspect that you learned?

Currently I'm a massage therapist, and I want to learn more about reflexology.

Thanks :)

Hi Moose Goose. Cute name. ;-)

I'm taking my training courses at a school devoted to touch therapy, and my teacher is a certified reflexoligist and massage therapist who was also president on the Arizona Reflexology Association. She is a fabulous human being, and I feel so lucky and grateful to be learning from her! :-)

I've taken my introduction course so far, and I think it was an excellent class with a comprehensive introduction of history, theories, founders, anatomy, technique, and the interrelation of the body's systems. I could not recommend my teacher more. My advanced courses start next month, and by September, I hope to have all my course work and practicals done, so I can sit my boards for national certification. I'm very excited about it.

I think incorporating reflexology into your massage practice could only be a good idea. :-) I've had my massage therapist give me reflexology at the start of my massages, and I find it helps me release tension and receive his soft tissue manipulation with far greater results than massage alone.

Best wishes for your practice!
